Red Dead Redemption 2 has been out for over a year now, and fans of Rockstar Games are wondering what's next from the award-winning studio. Rockstar itself has kept tight-lipped on its next project, but we do know that it's actively developing something. We don't know what that next project is, though most rumors point to Rockstar's next game being the long-awaited Grand Theft Auto 6, and now hip hop group City Morgue may have potentially revealed its possible release date.

Righteous P, the the older half-brother of City Morgue member Junius "ZillaKami" Rogers, posted an Instagram story teasing a collaboration between Rockstar Games and City Morgue for the summer of 2020. Fans quickly took note of this and sent a direct message to Righteous P for more information, asking if they were set to be featured on a soundtrack for an upcoming game from Rockstar. Righteous P simply responded with, "Soon." Of course, this is assuming that the screenshot of the direct messages wasn't photoshopped, so fans should still take this information with a grain of salt.

A summer 2020 release date for Grand Theft Auto 6 seems to be a little too soon for the game to come out, and one has to imagine that we would have heard about it by now if that were the case. But maybe the summer 2020 nod indicates when Grand Theft Auto 6 will be revealed as opposed to its release date. Alternatively, the Rockstar Games/City Morgue collaboration could be something completely different and unrelated to the Grand Theft Auto franchise at all.

The other game that has often been rumored to be in development at Rockstar is Bully 2. It's possible that City Morgue is providing music for the Bully 2 soundtrack, assuming that game still even exists. It's also possible that Rockstar's next game is a brand new IP or maybe even a new entry in one of its other franchises, like Manhunt or Max Payne.

Unfortunately, it seems unlikely that more information on this possible collaboration will come to light between now and summer 2020, so fans of Rockstar Games may have to wait awhile before they get some answers. In the meantime, they can expect the Grand Theft Auto 6 rumor mill to keep turning, as speculation continues to run rampant about Rockstar's next possible video game project.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is rumored to be in development for unspecified platforms.
