Rockstar has had a pretty busy week, with a brand new heist releasing for Grand Theft Auto Online that allows players to rob the Diamond Casino & Resort. The Diamond Casino, as some readers may know, was the center of a large controversy surrounding the hub’s in-game gambling system. Now, players have the chance to take matters into their own hands in a sense.

However, with the Diamond Casino Heist DLC, Rockstar may have just slipped an interesting tease in a fairly innocuous spot. The potential tease in question focuses on a sign with very strange formatting, a sign that might just hint at the release date for the next entry into the Grand Theft Auto series: Grand Theft Auto 6.

The tease is housed within the recent Diamond Casino Heist DLC, which tasks players with buying an arcade front for their future casino robbing endeavors. Once players have built up their arcade fronts, they can begin planning out their heists of the Diamond Casino and the riches is has to offer.

While players are in the midst of their heist inside the casino, the scenery is naturally a bit different. During a heist, a Reddit user by the name of Burgher1933 snapped an interesting screenshot of a strange looking sign on the casino walls. The sign reads “Diamond 510 Service,” with the word ‘service’ being split in half and read top to bottom.

This strange formatting lead to some theorizing, which took some users down the rabbit whole of discussing what exactly the sign could mean and why it was formatted that way specifically. One user called TheFirmWare started a thread theorizing that this sign could be a very cryptic hint at the potential release date for either GTA 6 or a trailer revealing the game.

The Reddit user goes on to explain that the numbers under the word ‘Diamond’ could be split into 5, 1, and 0 alone. This, combined with a strange reading from a character in the game named Madam Nazar that has her recounting the numbers ‘5, 1, 0, 2, and 0,’ leads some users to think Rockstar is teasing the date 5/10/20. Depending on where you live, that could mean October 5, 2020 or May 10, 2020.

Now, fans of the series are no strangers to finding potential teasers hidden within the games, as just recently the trailer for the Diamond Casino Heist led fans to believe the setting of GTA 6 was teased within. Regardless of whether this sign holds any actual merit to it or not, the formatting of the sign is odd to say the least.

Rockstar themselves are known to poke fun and mess around with both fans and innocent third parties. For example, Rockstar recently added a new radio station to the game that is a clear jab aimed at iHeartRadio and Apple. Whether this sign holds any significance or not, fans of the series will just have to wait and see.
