While so far there's only been rumors and leaks, there's so much hype built up for Grand Theft Auto 6 that the sequel is all but certain to come sometime in the future. Since Rockstar Games has said next to nothing about the sequel, fans are left to sift through rumors about possible city leaks and other news, hoping to find something credible.

The previous game, Grand Theft Auto V, pushed the boundaries of what open-world games can offer, so of course, plenty of fans are ready to see how Grand Theft Auto 6 can improve the series. In fact, one fan is so ready to see this new installment, they created their own loading screen concept and shared it online.

Fan artist Lazlow's video showcases some characters who look like they could belong in the upcoming crime game, including a young, tattooed thug with pistols akimbo and various ladies. Of course, it wouldn't be a GTA loading screen without some controversial innuendo, and Lazlow thoughtfully stuck that in there too. The backgrounds behind each character show a sunny city by the bay with palm trees in one background. It seems Lazlow is expecting Grand Theft Auto 6's location to be set in either another San Andreas city, or more likely Vice City given the bright neon lights used for Rockstar's logo.

Most fans are impressed with the Grand Theft Auto 6 loading screen concept, which Lazlow says was made using Adobe Photoshop, Sony Vegas 12, and After Effects. Not everyone's a big fan of the concept, though. One Redditor liked the art but thought the concept was too similar to GTAV's loading screen. Another thought the music fit well, but said the loading screen looked "too off."

Thanks to the previous game's massive open-world, highly entertaining gameplay, and consistent updates to GTA Online, fans are expecting a lot from GTA 6. So far, the biggest question is when it will actually release. Usually, GTA games come every four to five years, but in 2018 Rockstar released Red Dead Redemption 2. That game and it's online variant have taken up quite a bit of Rockstar's focus, so it's still unclear how soon fans can expect GTA 6.

There was a social media post from a stuntman that popped up online a while ago claiming he had credits on both Grand Theft Auto 6 and Red Dead Redemption 2, but that turned out to be a fake. Given the CV didn't match stunt actor Tim Neff's IMDB page, contained numerous spelling errors, and wasn't immediately taken down by Rockstar, that should've been obvious.

Grand Theft Auto 6 has yet to be announced.
