Ever since Rockstar Games launched Red Dead Redemption 2, rumors have been flying about what the company's next project will be. Many of these rumors stem from supposed "leaks" from people claiming to have inside knowledge, but it's likely that most of them, if not absolutely all of them, are fake, like many of the Bully 2 leaks have proven to be. Even so, enough genuine video game leaks have come from anonymous forum posts that they can't be ignored entirely, like a recent post on Reddit that claims to leak details on the unannounced Grand Theft Auto 6.
According to the Reddit post, Grand Theft Auto 6 will be announced next year, and it will feature San Fierro and Las Venturas, with a map four times the size of Grand Theft Auto 5. The leaker goes on to say that the map will include landmarks like Area 51, the Hoover Dam, a flea market, an amusement park, and even a zoo. In regards to the map, the leaker says Grand Theft Auto 6 will put more of a focus on interior locations than its predecessors, letting players explore police stations, fast food restaurants, and more.
The Grand Theft Auto 6 Reddit leaker also touched on the characters that players will play as in the new game. Apparently, Grand Theft Auto 6 will have two protagonist. This will include the first female protagonist in GTA history, as well as a male protagonist. The leaker stopped short of revealing any additional details on the Grand Theft Auto 6 playable characters.
As far as gameplay features go, the leaker mentioned that there will be two different types of gun stores for players to purchase weapons from, random events that are more complex than the ones in GTA 5, the return of heists, the ability to purchase real estate like in Vice City, and mini-games like hunting, bowling, gambling, and more.
The leaker does not provide any evidence to back up their claims, and so fans should take the information with a massive grain of salt. The information in this leak also pushes back against some of the more common claims about Grand Theft Auto 6, which have largely said that it will take place in Vice City, as opposed to San Fierro and Las Venturas. Other Grand Theft Auto 6 leaks have also mentioned a storyline spanning decades and some claim that there is just one playable character instead of two.
There will likely be even more GTA 6 leaks between now and the game's announcement, and most will probably be bogus. Fans shouldn't completely buy into any information about GTA 6 until Rockstar itself reveals the game.
