A group of Grand Theft Auto 5 modders is working to give life to one of the game's most barren landmarks. Fans have grown impatient waiting for developer Rockstar Games to release downloadable content that would finish the construction of the Mile High Club for eight years since the game's release.

The Mile High Club has been subject to years of speculation as fans have waited excitedly for construction to wrap on the eye-catching building. However, Rockstar Games has yet to update the building since the game's launch back in 2013, despite consistently released content updates for GTA 5's online mode, Grand Theft Auto Online. Stepping in to fill the gap, a mod group known as The Ambitioneers has developed a massive new mod known as Rags and Riches.

Speaking with PCGamesN, the leader of the project, Kalit, went into details on the group's upcoming fan-made DLC. Kalit says that the most difficult part of making the mod was making sure that their work integrated well with the surrounding work of Rockstar. They said, "We had to redo a lot of stuff to make sure our work didn't feel out of place on the map, so it's not just modeling and texturing the models and the work is done." For players who do want to enjoy it in an online environment, Kalit does say that the group is working to get a FiveM version of the mod ready, allowing it to be used in the very popular GTA Roleplay servers, as well.

Having to match the work of one of the most successful game development companies in the world, with Grand Theft Auto 5 itself being the most profitable single piece of media ever, undoubtedly adds an immense amount of pressure on top of making such an ambitious mod.

Grand Theft Auto 5 is no stranger to mods, with hundreds being available online that do just about anything one could want. Very few of these mods, however, boast the scale or addition of as much content as Rags and Riches strives to. The addition of new single-player missions and equipment to play with throughout GTA 5's base game could be more than enough to get single-player focused fans of the game to check it out.

Rags and Riches stands to be an extremely popular mod, and may very well satiate the fans who have been frustrated with Rockstar's reluctance to release single-player DLCs for the game. The mod's availability in a FiveM format will also surely bring it more much-deserved attention as the mode continues to be popular among streamers on Twitch. There is no release date for the mod as of yet, but the team does have a version available early on Patreon for anyone who cannot wait to get their hands on it. The Ambitioneers also have a Discord for those who want to follow the mod's development.

Grand Theft Auto 5 is available now on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
