Way back in 2001, Rockstar Games released Grand Theft Auto 3. While it wasn't the first game in the franchise, Grand Theft Auto 3 was the installment that really put the series on the map. It would eventually become the best-selling video game of that year. Rockstar would go on to release Grand Theft Auto: Vice City in 2002 and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas in 2004. The two games continued to build on the foundation established by GTA 3 and would go on to surpass it in sales and critical reception.

Grand Theft Auto 3 was originally released on the PlayStation 2 but was eventually released on the Xbox and PC. The game was also re-released in 2021 with Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas in the infamous Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy-Definitive Edition. This version, however, was badly received and poorly put-together, causing Rockstar to pull the GTA Trilogy from PC storefronts. Fans, however, still adore the original Grand Theft Auto 3 and are creating tributes to it and finding odd things in the game to this day.

In a recent post, a Reddit user under the name ElectronicaMode posted a bizarre glitch that they encountered in GTA 3 that may have been caused by a mod. Mods are very common throughout the franchise's community with some fully remastering Grand Theft Auto 3. In the video, NPCs contort and float in odd and horrific ways. The user seemed to think that this was caused by the Skin and Bones mod due to the files installing incorrectly or becoming corrupt.

As mentioned above, oddities like this are still being spotted in the game to this day. One fan, for example, noticed an error on a Grand Theft Auto 3 street sign. In the Definitive Edition, there was also a glitch where a car would grow bigger for some strange reason. However, the fans of the classic Rockstar game remain passionate about it.

On top of the aforementioned remaster mods, some fans have taken these ideas even further. Earlier this year, for example, someone showed what Grand Theft Auto 3 could have looked like in Unreal Engine 5. Others went so far as to make an unofficial GTA 3 port for the PS Vita. It all goes to show how many fans still love the game despite it having been released over 20 years ago. Hopefully, though, any future versions will not include bizarre glitches like this one.
