Grand Theft Auto 3 originally came out in 2001 and was a massive success both financially and critically. It was the number one selling game that year and went on to have more than 90% on Metacritic when it was first released. Fans of the series will be happy to know that remasters of Grand Theft Auto 3, Vice City, and San Andreas will be coming out next month.

The Grand Theft Auto Trilogy will release digitally on November 11th with many graphical updates added to the games. It will also release a physical form on December 7th. As of now, there is no way to purchase the games individually, but interestingly enough, Grand Theft Auto 3 will be made available to users of PS Now.

While PS Now hasn’t been nearly as successful as Game Pass, Sony has not given up on the service, evidenced by the constant updates and the fact that Grand Theft Auto 3 The Definitive Edition will also be joining come December 7th. December 7th places the game on the service about a month after traditional release. Unfortunately, this is the only title that will be making its way onto PS Now.

PS Now is a different service than PlayStation Plus, offering subscribers access to hundreds of different video games with new titles being added every month. Unlike Game Pass though, which sees new games released on the service day one such as Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - The Definitive Edition, PS Now users typically have to wait a few months before they see a newly released title on the service.

Still, PlayStation hasn’t given up on PS Now and although Grand Theft Auto 3 will be coming to the service on December 7th and not day one like the digital version, it’s not a long time to ask fans to wait. For those that don’t mind waiting, this is actually a pretty good offering as it will allow users to test out the first game in the trilogy to see if it’s something they want to invest in further. If they like the title, they can purchase the trilogy, and if not, they can simply keep their money.

Unfortunately, the only game confirmed to be coming to PS Now is Grand Theft Auto 3. If fans did enjoy the definitive edition and wanted to play the others, they’d, unfortunately, have to buy the trilogy because, as of now, the trilogy of games cannot be purchased individually. It’ll be interesting to see if that changes down the road.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition is set to release digitally on November 11th and physically on December 7th, for Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
