Arc System Works continues to provide robust post-launch support for its 2020 fighting game Granblue Fantasy Versus. Granblue Fantasy Versus has already received a massive 5-character Character Pass as DLC. The second Character Pass continues to roll out new fighters, with its first 2021 release now confirmed. In a short trailer, Arc System Works confirmed that Granblue Fantasy Versus' next DLC character Anre will be available starting January 26.

Anre wasn't announced in this new trailer, as he was previously revealed during the character trailer for Granblue Fantasy Versus' previous DLC release, Yuel. At the time, Arc System Works described Anre as a keep away and counter character. In the new trailer, Granblue Fantasy fans can see how Anre uses their spear to poke, parry, and maintain distance. Two defensive abilities, "Fleeting Spark" and "Arm the Bastion," have been named, each of which apparently reduces damage done to Anre.

As with previous DLC characters, Anre will come with some bonuses for Granblue Fantasy fans. For Granblue Fantasy Versus, players will receive an avatar, a star character icon, as well as two quests. Perhaps even more exciting, Granblue Fantasy players will get an SSR Character Weapon Draw Ticket, as well as an Anre sticker.

Two more characters remain to be revealed as part of Granblue Fantasy Versus' second Character Pass. Traditionally, Arc System Works has announced a new one as it showcases the most recent. That didn't happen this time, though. Arc System Works did tease when the next character trailer will be coming, however. Granblue Fantasy Versus fans can expect an update in March, later this year.

Granblue Fantasy Versus is available now on PC and PS4.
