Gran Turismo 7 is the latest game in the racing simulation series. Originally announced to be released in March 2022, this release date has come under question recently. A leaker reported that Gran Turismo 7 would be suffering from delays, along with other major releases expected in early 2022.
March 2022 is set to be an exciting month for gamers, with games like WWE 2K22, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, and others making their way into players' hands. Gran Turismo 7 helped to make March 2022 appear that much more exciting for racing simulator players especially. With Gran Turismo 7 being a PlayStation exclusive as well, it has many fans hyped about its arrival. New gameplay trailers, footage and details have been dropping in the months leading to the game's release, including footage of the famous Daytona International Speedway.
Now, PlayStation has released a new trailer on YouTube, called the "Find Your Line" trailer. It revolves mostly around how Gran Turismo 7 works with PlayStation 5's DualSense adaptive triggers, and the enhanced visuals of the game on PS5. Towards the end of the trailer, though, Gran Turismo 7 again confirms the date players can expect to get their hands on the game, which is March 4. This puts all rumors of potential delays to one side as Gran Turismo fans breathed a sigh of relief.
Besides the release date and the nod to the DualSense controllers, the latest trailer for Gran Turismo 7 focused around the immersion that the latest game offers players. With 3D audio provided by Sony's PULSE 3D wireless headset, and the enhanced graphics of the game running on a PS5, the immersion of Gran Turismo 7 is advertised to be like no other. These features have appeared in the plethora of other trailers and gameplay footage released for the game as well.
With Gran Turismo 7's delay proving to be little more than a rumor, PlayStation fans can continue to get excited about what the first half of 2022 will bring them. With Horizon: Forbidden West coming in February, and Gran Turismo 7 in March, Sony is dropping some popular exclusives early in the year, and will likely follow those titles with God of War: Ragnarok later this year.
Gran Turismo 7 is scheduled to release on March 4 for PS4 and PS5.
