While 2021 was a somewhat tepid year for PlayStation 5 exclusives, Sony's looking to ramp things back up for 2022. The list of PS5 exclusives planned for 2022 is long, but near top of the list is undeniably Gran Turismo 7. The latest entry in one of PlayStation's longest-running series, Gran Turismo 7 looks to offer a massive step forward in visual fidelity unlike any racing game prior. Fans hungry for new information have now been rewarded, with a flier revealing details about Gran Turismo 7's total cars and tracks.

In what could be considered a leak of sorts, a flier for Gran Turismo 7 was found in a shop in Japan. Twitter user bookkyamp shared photos of this pamphlet online and a translation revealed some new details about the racing game. What's perhaps the most exciting new detail is that Gran Turismo 7 will feature over 420 car models. For comparison's sake, Gran Turismo Sport currently features 338 cars, though it launched with less than half that total. Suffice to say, Gran Turismo 7's selection of cars will mark a significant improvement.

Players will also be able to edit these cars to fit their sensibilities. Another part of the flier confirms that Gran Turismo 7 will feature a selection of 130 types of wheel. Further, there will be 600 different parts available for further customization of vehicles. The extent of Gran Turismo 7's customization options isn't confirmed as of yet, but the number of wheels and parts makes clear customization will be robustly supported.

The flier also reveals how many tracks Gran Turismo 7 will include. In all, players will be able to race through 90 different tracks in Gran Turismo 7. For comparison's sake, Gran Turismo Sport features at least 73 tracks, though only 40 were available at launch. Most of these, however, are layout adjustments. There are only 27 courses, or 17 at launch, and the rest simply alter the race layout. As such, Gran Turismo 7's actual unique courses will likely prove to be a fraction of the 90 layouts.

Dozens have vehicles have already been confirmed for Gran Turismo 7 via marketing and official statements from Polyphony Digital. Manufacturers including Ferrari, McClaren, Lamborghini, Lexus, Alfa Romeo, and many more are turning as partners.

There's still much left to reveal for Gran Turismo 7. It's unfortunate that a Japanese pamphlet is providing much of this information even as Gran Turismo fans are patiently waiting for official confirmation. Still, with Gran Turismo 7 just months away from launch, fans will take what they can get.
