Footage from Gotham Knights is being leaked online following the early release of copies of the game. Developed by WB Games Montreal, the company that previously created Arkham Origins, Gotham Knights is a game very much in the style of the Arkham franchise, but it doesn't feature Batman as its playable character. Instead, Gotham Knights lets fans take control of Batgirl, Red Hood, Robin, and Nightwing as they fight to preserve the caped crusader's legacy and protect Gotham.

Despite some release date delays that eventually pushed the launch of Gotham Knights into October, the game remains one of the most highly anticipated titles releasing this month. Gotham Knights managed to move its release date forward back in August, with WB Games Montreal revealing that the game would be ready for launch on October 21, 2022, and not October 25. This surprised and pleased many fans, who couldn't wait to dive back into the gritty streets of Gotham and fight some crime.

However, it seems some have managed to get their hands on the game before October 21. A few copies of Gotham Knights have been released to gamers early, granting them the physical copies in the days before the title officially launches. Now, Gotham Knights gameplay footage is popping up online as the first players work their way through the game's world and story. Already, the first 30 minutes of Gotham Knights on PS5 have been shown off on YouTube, though this was quickly removed.

For anyone wanting to dodge spoilers for Gotham Knights' story, it is advised that they stay clear of these videos popping up online. There have been some positives from fans getting their hands on the game early, though, as many have shared their first opinions on it. There are posts on social media praising Gotham Knights' combat but stating that some of the movement can feel clunky at times. Either way, with only a few days until the game launches, fans will soon be able to forge their own opinions on Gotham Knights.

Gotham Knights isn't the only game that some have received early. Recently, retailers got their hands on physical copies of A Plague Tale: Requiem before its official release as well, which has led to some heavy spoilers already being posted online. This has disappointed both fans and A Plague Tale: Requiem's developer, which asked players not to reveal the plot details of the game online.

Gotham Knights is scheduled to release on October 21, 2022, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
