R. L. Stine's Goosebumps is moving from the big screen to television once again as Scholastic Entertainment and Sony Pictures Television announced that they're developing a new live-action series based on the popular kids' horror books. The show is also being produced by Neal H. Mortiz, who served as producer on both the Goosebumps movie and sequel Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween.

This won't be the first time that Goosebumps finds a home on television; previously, it was a Canadian-produced horror anthology series in the 1990s, running from 1995 -  1998. The show originally aired on Fox Kids, but it can actually also be streamed on Netflix right now.

Unfortunately for those eager to sink their teeth into another horror show, there aren't any details available right now about when the new Goosebumps will release, or even which network it'll be on. TV Guide broke the news yesterday, though all it had in the way of details for the moment was a statement from Mortiz. "I loved making the Goosebumps movies and can't wait to bring even more of R. L. Stine's incredible stories to life through a high-end television series that speaks to both adults and kids alike," he said.

While longtime fans of Goosebumps await its latest incarnation, there are still plenty of worthwhile horror shows (and games) to check out in the meantime.

Goosebumps is currently in development.
