The next batch of free games with Google Stadia Pro has been revealed. Players can look forward to some spooky action on Stadia in time for Halloween, and also some very highly regarded indies of various genres.

The games will be available on October 1 and throughout the month. The highlight of October's free games is arguably Dead by Daylight, an asymmetric horror game that pits four survivors against one killer. Survivors use flashlights, firecrackers, and a plethora of perks to outsmart the killer in an attempt to stay alive. Meanwhile, the killer has the ability to set traps, wield deadly weapons and helpful perks, and use the environment to take down the survivors one-by-one. Dead by Daylight's horror elements make it fit right in with the month of October.

Celeste may be the highest-rated game of the month's titles. Celeste is a charming and challenging platformer developed by Matt Makes Games that won numerous awards in 2018 including Best Independent Game at The Game Awards. The game tackles the difficulties of fighting one's doubt, anxiety, and fear of failure in a colorful and vibrant ar-style.

Superhot: Mind Control Delete was a surprise release earlier this year, as a follow up to the time-based action shooter. The game sees players dodging bullets as if they are in The Matrix, moving time forward in order to eliminate a room of enemies. The game is free for anyone who owned the original Superhot, but for Stadia users who didn't try the original, having Mind Control Delete for free is a nice bonus.

Another one of the free games is Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, an isometric adventure title that is a complete departure from the third-person action of the series. Indie game Human: Fall Flat is also on the list, a very goofy physics-based platform-puzzle game. Hand-drawn action-adventure Jotun rounds out October's free games.
