For a while, Google Stadia's 2020 lineup hadn't seemed all that busy. However, the situation appears to have possibly changed, as five new games were announced to be coming to the streaming platform.

About a month ago, Google had announced that it would be launching about 10 exclusives on Google Stadia over the course of half a year.  This is out of a total of 120 games that will be brought to the platform in the year 2020.

Today, five of those games were announced in a Google Stadia blog post explaining the upcoming titles. Three of the games will be First on Stadia titles, or timed exclusives, while the other two are described as "a pair of remarkable entries in two beloved franchises." A trailer for one of the titles, Lost Words: Beyond the Page, can be seen below.

Described as a game with a focus on narrative, Lost Words: Beyond the Page, one of the First on Stadia timed exclusives, is a puzzle game that has players taking on the role of Izzy as she explores her psyche through a diary she has written in. The story is one of "loss and personal growth" and challenges players in its setup.

Additional games announced to be coming to Stadia include Panzer Dragoon: Remake. As implied, this is a rebuilt version of the beloved Panzer Dragoon from 1995. The Serious Sam Collection was also announced, which includes Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter, Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter, and Serious Sam 3: BFE.

The final two titles announced for Stadia are both First on Stadia titles. Stacks on Stacks (on Stacks) involves building solid towers that can withstand attacks from enemies but can be destroyed by players with a wrecking ball. The other title, Spitlings, is a multiplayer-focused title that has players controlling blocks. In Spitlings, players can use the blocks' teeth to spit at something or jump.

All told, these five titles are promising for Stadia's future. Perhaps, this is part of Google's response to early criticisms of the Stadia, including its lack of content. However, if Google continually reveals and releases content for the Stadia at the same rate going forward, then the platform may become a true contender in the competition for the leader of the next generation.
