Google has announced its first Stadia game studio, stationed in Montreal. This studio will focus on the development of games exclusively for the Google Stadia.

Since its announcement, the Google Stadia has had several port announcements, with titles like Destiny 2 coming to the Google Stadia. However, there has been a lack of exclusive game announcements. With a dedicated studio working on titles, it's possible that the Stadia may become a frontrunner in consumer minds.

The Stadia Games & Entertainment Studio, run by Jade Raymond, will be focused on creating games for the Google Stadia. The studio was just founded, so it is still looking for developers to join the team and get to creating games. The studio's goal is to create immersive and accessible games for Google's system, with Raymond saying,

"Stadia Games and Entertainment’s studio will produce exclusive, original content across a diverse portfolio of games in all your favorite genres. Stadia is designed to be one destination for all the ways people play games—and Montréal is where we’re going to start building them."

While the studio is beginning to recruit members, the Stadia is less than a month out from launch. It is extremely unlikely that Stadia Games & Entertainment will have any titles available for the console's launch. In addition, some consumers that pre-ordered the Google Stadia will get the system at launch, signaling a bit of a rocky launch for Google. However, the eventual promise of some good exclusive titles may be what entices those on the fence about a Stadia to pick one up.

It's becoming increasingly clear that Google wants the Stadia to be a success, but there has been a lot of disappointing news regarding the system. The Stadia cannot run on mobile carriers' networks at launch, meaning it can only be played via a Wi-Fi connection. Seeing as the Google Stadia feels perfect for mobile gamers, it's not good that a feature that would have a lot of consumers buying the product is missing for the Stadia's launch. Regardless, that doesn't seem to be slowing the Stadia down.

The Google Stadia will launch on November 19.
