In order to encourage people to stay home in light of the Coronavirus pandemic, Google Stadia is doing its part by offering free pro status to everyone or the next two months. For those that may be unfamiliar with what the Pro status comes with, here's a list of what it offers.

Google Stadia pro status gives players access to a library of free games so long as they remain subscribed. This is functionally very similar to the PS Plus free games except that the list of available games is considerably larger. Here are the currently free games Stadia Pro users can claim:

  • Destiny 2: The Collection
  • GRID
  • Gylt
  • SteamWorld Dig 2
  • SteamWorld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech
  • Serious Sam Collection
  • Spitlings
  • Stacks on Stacks (on Stacks)
  • Thumper

Furthermore, pro users typically are able to play games at 4K resolution with a stable 60 FPS framerate and still make use of HDR capabilities. That said, Google has announced that it will be lowering these capabilities in order to remove strain on the internet caused by mass usage.

The Pro subscription status usually costs $9.99 a month, so this free 2 month subscription has approximately a $20 value. That said, the offer is only available to those players that sign up either today or within the next 48 hours, after which point it will return to its standard cost. Interested gamers should jump on the opportunity to get April's free Stadia Pro games.
