Like the Xbox Live Free Games with Gold program and the PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection, Google Stadia has its own subscription service called Stadia Pro. Stadia Pro launched with the streaming service itself on November 19, letting subscribers get Destiny 2: The Collection and Samurai Shodown free of charge, and now Google has announced the next two free games coming in December.
Beginning December 1 at 9am PST, Stadia Pro subscribers can add Farming Simulator 19: Platinum Edition and Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition to their collection. Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is an enhanced version of the critically-acclaimed 2013 Tomb Raider reboot, whereas Farming Simulator 19 is the latest entry in the farming game franchise. While more traditional gamers may scoff at something like Farming Simulator, the series does have its fans, and in fact, Farming Simulator esports are even becoming a thing.
Where Stadia Pro differs from Xbox Live Games with Gold and PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection so far is that Destiny 2: The Collection and Samurai Shodown will still be available as free downloads come December. It's unclear how long games will be available for free to Pro subscribers, but perhaps they will be cycled out every other month so that there is consistently four free games available to download. Unfortunately, specifics on that front aren't available at the time of this writing.

Meanwhile, some Google Stadia fans may be upset if they spent money on Farming Simulator 19 or Tomb Raider only for them to become free to Stadia Pro subscribers just a couple of weeks later. Reports indicate that Google will indeed be refunding players who bought Farming Simulator 19 and Tomb Raider, though fans shouldn't expect that practice to continue indefinitely. This is a special occasion since the new free games are being added to the lineup so close to Stadia's launch.
Stadia's launch lineup of 22 games means that the service should be able to meet its obligation of two free games for some time, but it will need to expand its library soon. On the horizon, Stadia has Darksiders Genesis releasing on December 5, and 2020 will see the launch of games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Marvel's Avengers. It will be interesting to see how successful Stadia is once the bigger games start releasing on the platform at the same time as traditional home consoles.
