Announced via Google Stadia's Twitter page, four new games will be available for the console's pro subscribers this month. Previous months have seen a series of games added to the service - with the likes of Crayta, Steamworld Dig 2, and West of Loathing all debuting during July - and August is no exception.

The line-up contains four fairly significant titles, with Metro 2033 Redux, Strange Brigade, Kona, and Just Shapes and Beats all landing for no additional cost for Stadia Pro members. Overall, it looks to be a fairly decent haul, with each of the new games bringing something vastly different to the streaming service.

Perhaps the most notable of the bunch is Metro 2033 Redux, which was the first release in the absolutely excellent Metro series. The Redux edition brought some impressive visual updates to the original 2010 release, alongside all additional DLC and some brand new features later added in its 2013 sequel, Last Light. It scored an astounding 90 0n Metacritic at release. Strange Brigade is also a big game for Pro subscribers, with the co-op based action game acting as a mix of 1930s pulp novellas and fun, third-person combat. While it never found the same acclaim as developer Rebellion's Sniper Elite series, it did garner a small but dedicated community who still play the game to this day. It garnered a decent Metacritic rating of 73.

The other two games are smaller but by no means less interesting, with Kona emerging as the more popular of the pair. The mystery, first-person adventure game sees players tasked with discovering the secrets of a town that's being ravaged by a blizzard. The player must investigate strange goings-on in the eerie location, all the while gathering clues, solving puzzles, and attempting to survive the harsh conditions. It originally scored a 71 on Metacritic. Alternatively, Just Shapes and Beats is a bullet-hell co-op game that sees players avoid shapes while being serenaded by intense music. It has a focus on players dying frequently and trying again until they can nail the precise timing its levels require.

All in all, it looks like some fantastic new experiences will be making their way to Stadia Pro this month, whether you're looking for an intense, story-based action title, a fun co-op experience to jump into with friends, or a smaller indie game to engage your brain. Of course, Stadia also has some huge new games coming in the next few months regardless, with Marvel's Avengers and Cyberpunk 2077 set to hit the service.
