Google begins to tease its Pixel 4a smartphone with a new page on its online store. The upcoming phone is rumored to be cheaper than the iPhone SE, the more budget-friendly iPhone that Apple released back in April.

Fans of Google's smartphones can now head to the company's official online store to find a quirky new teaser for the Pixel 4a. While the page loads using lorem ipsum, the Latin filler text often used on in development sites, fans can click the redacted black bars at the top to "unlock" the page. The bars must be clicked so that they match the Google logo, in the order of blue, red, yellow, blue, green, and red.

Once unlocked, the page features a silhouette of a smartphone and a date of August 3. The phone is likely to be the budget-priced alternative to the Pixel 4. The use of made-up Latin words such as "lowlightena," "bokehus," and "megapixelum" all seem to be suggesting that the smartphone will again feature a powerful camera. Smartphone users are increasingly using their devices for mobile photography and Pixel's cameras are among some of the most highly-rated, so this seems like a smart decision.

While fans will have to wait for Google's announcement for any official confirmation of price, the Pixel 4a is rumored to cost $349. Given how many hugely expensive smartphones have entered the market over the last year, smartphone users will likely be glad to see something powerful that doesn't cost a fortune.
