A new game coming to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 that will have players dealing with love and loss — potentially a lot of loss.
The PlayStation 5 reveal announcement today showed off a lot of games, many of which no one was expecting. Even among new titles that covered all genres, one newcomer, in particular, stood out. That game was a small, strange game going by the title Goodbye Volcano High.
Dinosaurs in video games have ranged from terrifying beasts to be fought and tamed to fun collectibles in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Goodbye Volcano High takes a slightly different approach by putting them in high school. The game is a narrative adventure following Fant, a dinosaur on the verge of graduation even as their world is on the verge of a potential apocalyptic event. The kind of event is not specified, but there's a good chance the meteor in the game's title is not just for show.

The game will be a branching path narrative, implying difficult choices for players. There have already been comparisons to Life is Strange and the tough choices it put players through. Only time will tell what the game turns out to be, but as of now, the reception of its trailer has not been positive. Hopefully, the game will prove wholesome.
