The latest action-packed trailer from Dragon Ball FighterZ just dropped and it showcases the devastating, dark powers of Goku Black.

Like the other character trailers from Dragon Ball FighterZ, it's short, but contains just enough to get gamers' blood pumping. Beginning with an intro that harkens back to his first appearance in the anime, Goku Black descends from the sky as a dark, shapeless form in a vortex of energy. He then kicks off the battle by going Super Saiyan Rose and proceeds to absolutely wreck poor Trunks.

Some highlights include a variety of moves that utilize Goku Black's signature energy blade and an attack that has him pairing with his partner in time, Zamasu. As expected, Goku Black's iconic energy scythe plays a large part in his visually stunning special move, and it's glorious.

When Dragon Ball FighterZ premiered at E3 2017, it had a relatively small roster of characters from the Dragon Ball universe. In fact, all of the early characters were from the Dragon Ball Z era and none were from the current series, Dragon Ball Super. Obviously, that has changed, and the roster has been bulking up with fighters from every corner of the series.

A welcomed inclusion are a variety of characters who would be considered relatively low-level fighters by today's standards. Villains such as Nappa and Captain Ginyu were added a few months ago, and are two of the notably weaker characters to join the roster. However, in Dragon Ball FighterZ they can still hold their own and even come with interesting move sets that make them worth playing.

In addition to series regulars, Dragon Ball FighterZ will include an entirely new character that was created for the game. Android 21 will play an important part in the game's story mode, as part of a "what if" storyline that involves Android 16, who is also on the fighting roster.

Dragon Ball FighterZ will launch on January 26 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
