Godzilla vs. Kong has been dominating the headlines lately for a number of reasons. Maybe it's the idea of two giant monsters duking it out like old times. Maybe it's the star-studded cast. Or maybe it's the eternal question of why the two titular beasties don't simply kiss and make up. Luckily, Millie Bobby Brown and Julian Dennison used their expertise from being in the movie itself to give their own answer to that question, as well as other, slightly less riveting ones.

Brown and Dennison, who earned the distinction of being among the humans that audiences only sort of want to get squashed in Godzilla vs. Kong, recently discussed the hot button topic in a joint interview with Collider. Being completely unaware they were about to be asked about the idea of two giant creatures kissing, their answers were delightfully genuine, as well as surprisingly well thought out, with Deadpool 2 star Dennison taking the first crack. The New Zealand-born actor responded almost right out of the gate with the issue of logistics, saying, "aren't they, like, different heights? That'd be super awkward. Would King Kong have to stand on a little apple box?"

During this time, English actress and Stranger Things star Brown was visibly deep in thought about the whole concept, and just as Dennison continued with, "I feel like Godzilla would be very touchy with his forehands," she struck. While Dennison apparently saw Godzilla as the instigator of the theoretical mammoth make-outs, Brown offered an alternative viewpoint, suggesting that Kong would be more the coquettish one in this particular relationship, batting his big ape eyes to attract Godzilla's attention. It would clearly be a romance for the ages.

The discussion moved on to other subjects, fortunately, or unfortunately, depending on who's asking. The interviewer began by asking Brown what would have to happen for an eventual Enola Holmes sequel to be greenlit. Her answer came in a very pointed 2 words, "email Netflix." Based on the discussion, it seems there currently aren't any plans to continue the story of Sherlock Holmes' equally clever little sister, but when asked about it, she simply gave an optimistic "I hope so." So to any fans out there, let Netflix know that Brown's performance in Enola Holmes has plenty of support and would absolutely be worth a continuation.

Godzilla vs. Kong obviously isn't a human-centric film, but it's nice to see actors involved like Brown and Dennison who are willing to have fun with it both on and off the set. That sense of humor can go a long way in grounding the movie just enough to keep audiences engaged on more than just a surface level. Many claim that's why Kong: Skull Island worked so well, with its stellar cast including hard-hitting performers like Samuel L. Jackson and Brie Larson.

Even aside from the reviews, it seems like the actors had a great time with Godzilla vs. Kong. Hopefully, it's only the beginning in a long line of satisfying "watch stuff get smashed" films even beyond Godzilla. It'll certainly give the fandom plenty of shipping material.

Godzilla vs. Kong is now showing in theaters and streaming exclusively on HBO Max.
