Looter action-RPG Godfall is building up hype for its approaching release date. The PS5 console exclusive game's latest trailer focuses on the kind of content its playerbase should be hungry for: loot. The new short Godfall trailer reveals more about one of the upcoming game's new armor sets, known as Valorplates. The name of the armor is the Vertigo, and once future Godfall players see it they'll understand why a trailer was made just to show it off.

The Vertigo Valorplate gives players the appearance of a warrior adorned in the guise of a moth or dragonfly. The Vertigo armor features big, bright-blue insect eyes, as well as broad, lea-shaped antennae, with a large fur collar. The body armor is a mix of green colors with bright blue lights, and it has a set of long wings, too. The Vertigo Valorplate is partnered with long green daggers limned with gold that look like they were carved from rock rather than shaped like steel.

The Vertigo Valorplate isn't new. It was revealed some time ago alongside a variety of other Valorplates, so this trailer is less about making any reveals than it is about giving Godfall players a closer look at the Valorplate. Given the impressive visuals of the Valorplate, it's understandable why Godfall developer Counterplay Games would be interested in showing off some of Vertigo's finer points of detail.

Vertigo is one of the Air-themed Valorplates, joining the Greyhawk and the Phoenix Valorplates in this category. The Air Valorplates seem to be focused on fast movements and attacks compared to the other confirmed Valorplates, and Vertigo fits that mold nicely. Vertigo is described as having some electricity-based attacks, which might explain its bright blue accents.

Valorplates, for those unfamiliar, are full sets of divine armor based on Godfall's own Zodiac of sorts. There are only 12 Valorplates planned for the game, and they serve the role of a class system. As such, players won't be discovering new pieces of armor throughout Godfall. They'll instead be unlocking Valorplates while earning augments that further customize a player's gameplay experience. Valorplates will have cosmetic customizations, though.

Godfall players can look forward to getting their hands on the Vertigo and the 11 other Valorplates when the game launches alongside the PS5 in less than two weeks. Players will be able to pick a Valorplate that both matches their style of play as well as their aesthetic sensibilities.

Godfall releases November 12 on PC and PS5.
