So far, Godfall is one of the only PlayStation 5 games that players have gotten a good look at. The next-gen titled has suffered some pretty substantial leaks over the past week, giving gamers a peek at what the game will offer when it releases later this year. However, it appears that footage may not actually be from the PlayStation 5 version of the game.

According to the game's official Twitter account, the leaked Godfall footage currently circulating online is actually from the PC version of the game. The footage is over a year old and was intended to be part of an internal presentation. This essentially means that the footage doesn't represent how the game looks or plays now, and there are likely some radical differences between the leak and the final version of the game.

The footage not being from the PS5 version of the game means that the raw visual fidelity could be pretty different in the end. Leaked PlayStation 5 specs indicate that the console will be pretty powerful, but until players see the finished product, there's really no telling how sharp Godfall will actually look. Of course, it's bound to have better visuals than much of what is currently on the PS4.

Leaks have indicated that a PlayStation 5 reveal event is planned for next month, so there's a good chance that fans will get an extended look at Godfall there. If that is the case, it will be one of the first major looks at how the PlayStation 5 handles games. Sony has demoed the blazing fast loading speeds of the PS5 with Spider-Man, but that's been about it.

If the leaked list of PS5 launch games is any indicator, PlayStation fans should have quite a bit to play through when the console launches this fall. It marks a pretty major shift in the video game industry, one that is sure to bring some major changes to gaming as a whole.

With any luck, players will know more about Godfall soon. The game is also headed to PC, so those that don't want to opt into a PlayStation 5 won't have to worry about upgrading, but those that are excited about the new hardware may be spending quite a bit of time with the game. Godfall is the first PS5 game fans found out about, so it'll set an early bar for the next-generation line up of games.

Godfall is currently in development for PS5 and PC.
