With the next generation on players' doorsteps, a big question on the minds of PC owners is whether their hardware will be able to run the lineup of enhanced games at full settings. It seems to be a concern that PC manufacturers are taking into account, with Nvidia promising that the GeForce RTX 3080 will have enough VRAM to play the most advanced titles at a high level of performance.

However, it seems the newly released specifications for Godfall hint that Nvidia's latest graphics card might not be able to handle the game at full settings. According to the specifications, Godfall will require a meaty 12GB of VRAM to display ultra settings in 4K, meaning, on paper, Nvidia's hardware shouldn't be able to run the upcoming next-generation game smoothly at full settings.

Godfall's PC specifications were detailed in a video that released a few days ago, with Counterplay Studios' Keith Lee discussing the title's performance on PC. Godfall has specifically partnered with AMD, with much of the video centering around how smoothly the game will run on a Radeon RX 6000. Speaking on the requirements for playing with the game's ultra-HD textures, Lee claims that "Godfall requires tremendous memory bandwidth to run smoothly," specifically citing that 12 GB of VRAM will be required to enjoy the game at such a high level. The Nvidia RTX 3080 notably has 10 GB of VRAM, just missing the mark. The rest of the video covers the game's specifications and performance on PC.

It seems like Nvidia players enjoying Godfall on a GeForce RTX 3080 might have to settle with playing the game on lower settings, with the AMD Radeon RX 6000 seemingly brandishing the power to offer ultra quality textures at 60 FPS. The comments of the video area already filled with fans joking about the RTX 3080 just missing the required benchmark in terms of VRAM, while others are sharing how impressed they are with the Radeon RX 6000's impressive visual fidelity.

As for Godfall itself, the game will also be a console exclusive for the PlayStation 5. A high-fantasy hack and slash RPG, the game sees players assume the role of the last in an order of powerful warriors known as the Valorian Knights. Battling their way across colorful levels, the player must utilize the game's fast-paced combat system to take the fight to a variety of intimidating enemies. Overall, it looks to be a challenging RPG with a focus on striking visuals, showcasing the power of the next generation and the capabilities of the PlayStation 5's new hardware.

Godfall is set to release on November 12 for PC and PlayStation 5.
