Many may worry about some delay, which is reasonable given other high-profile delays this year, but everything is reportedly on track. In fact, according to Bloomberg, God of War Ragnarok will release in November.
This is more than enough to get the fan base’s blood pumping, but it was also reported by Bloomberg that God of War Ragnarok’s official release date would be announced by the end of June, taking that to a whole other level. It should be noted that plans can change, but there’s still time. As June only has a few days left and rumors are cropping up, God of War Ragnarok has begun to trend online. It is over 2100 tweets as of this writing, and should there be any major announcements, it’s likely to skyrocket from there.
God of War: Release Date Should Be Revealed Soon
God of War Ragnarok is trending because fans want to know the release date, it’s that simple. More notably, many expect that God of War Ragnarok will feature at a State of Play. It should be noted that Bloomberg did not report on a State of Play taking place, but it’s a logical inference made by many on Sony’s typical marketing strategy. State of Plays build hype, God of War Ragnarok builds hype, and it all adds up.
If Sony is hosting a show on June 30, revealing God of War Ragnarok’s release date there, the State of Play is most likely to be announced today. If it’s not, it could be that Sony and Santa Monica just drop the release date out of thin air. And all of that hinges on this still happening. Fans have a lot of hopes up, but they should manage them accordingly. Neither Sony nor Santa Monica have said or hinted at anything God of War Ragnarok related this month.
