PLEASE NOTE: While this article avoids SPOILERS as much as possible, it does discuss endgame content and 'endings' for God of War Ragnarok.Because of the secret Thor scene in God of War 2018, many fans may be curious if God of War Ragnarok has a secret ending like it. The answer is not so simple, but fans should rest assured that God of War Ragnarok has plenty of content for them to explore.

Once credits roll in God of War Ragnarok, players will find plenty of late-game and endgame activities, areas, and more to explore. Perhaps the most obvious is the next direction of the path; God of War Ragnarok's side quests will include a new section called Epilogues. These see the player shore up some loose ends for a handful of characters. Once the credits roll, that's the full traditional ending for God of War Ragnarok, but here's how to wrap up a few more storylines.

God of War Ragnarok Epilogues: Every Ending

There are three epilogues in God of War Ragnarok players should complete. These are not necessarily created equal, as only one contains a proper "cutscene" to shore up its story, but each and every step is worth completing. They are as follows (with as few spoilers as possible):

  • Return to Sindri's House to receive the quest called A Viking Funeral. Players will need to travel to Svartalfheim to complete this quest; at its end, players will see an additional cutscene for God of War Ragnarok.
  • Upon beating God of War Ragnarok, players will receive a quest called Defend Your Valor. Players will need to travel to Muspelheim to complete this quest, and having the best possible armor and skills in God of War Ragnarok is recommended. Once complete, it has a nice, immediate ending for players to explore; however, should they want a little more on top of that, completing this unlocks some new dialogue found if players return to Hoddmimis Holt in Midgard.
  • Received at the same time is another quest called The Remnants of Asgard. This ending comes with perhaps the least amount of supporting content, though it will take players through multiple realms in God of War Ragnarok, but it does offer a few additional bits of dialogue as it is completed.

With that, the major story arcs will be complete. There are still plenty of stories to explore in God of War Ragnarok though, within the realms, side quests, and so on, but these three will mark the full end of Ragnarok.

God of War Ragnarok is available now for PS4 and PS5.
