Armor sets are as important as upgrading weapons' skills in God of War Ragnarok. They offer protection against enemies and some have useful bonuses that’ll aid Kratos in battles. Armors can be obtained by collecting the necessary materials and crafting the set or by looting the pieces from different areas throughout the world of God of War Ragnarok.
The three pieces of the Radiance armor set are the Shoulder Straps of Radiance, the Gauntlets of Radiance, and the Belt of Radiance. According to the in-game description, the Radiance armor is a beautiful set found in the Barrens of Alfheim that shares the same beauty as its realm.
How To Get The Radiance Armor Set In God Of War Ragnarok
To get the Radiance armor set in God of War Ragnarok, players need to complete the Secret of the Sands Side Quest. The latter will unlock only one piece while the rest are obtained by exploring the Barrens in Alfheim. Keep in mind that the pieces can be gathered before completing the Favor. However, finishing the Side Quest will clear the sand storm, making it easier for navigation.
How To Get The Shoulder Straps Of Radiance
While doing the Secret of the Sands Favor, Kratos and Atreus are trying to free a creature crying for help in God of War Ragnarok. After finding Hafgufa’s location and freeing it from the Dark Elves' hives, the pair must now venture upward to clear the opening of the cave.
To get the Shoulder Straps of Radiance, head right from Hafgufa’s location and keep going forward until a Legendary Chest appears. Open it to receive the first part of the Radiance armor set. This piece offers 34 Strength, 20 Defense, 17 Runic, and 17 Luck.
How To Get The Gauntlets Of Radiance
Upon completing the Secret of the Sands Side Quest, the Barrens will be free from the sand storm caused by the Hafgufa’s imprisonment. It’s a crucial step to make exploration much easier. To get Gauntlets of Radiance, use the sled to head northwest from the Hafgufa’s location to reach a gazebo.
Inside, there will be multiple Dark Elves guarding the Legendary Chest. Defeat them and open the lootbox to get the Gauntlets of Radiance, which offers 28 Strength at level 4.
How To Get The Belt Of Radiance
To get the Belt of Radiance, hop onto the sled and proceed southeast to the huge skeleton. Climb the ledges to be surrounded by an army of enemies. Defeat the creatures and climb one last ledge to find the Legendary Chest. Open it and grab the Belt of Radiance.
Unlike the Gauntlets, the Belt has 28 Defense at level 4. Equipping the Gauntlet or the Belt alone will slow down time for one second if Kratos dodged at the last second before getting hit. If both armor pieces are equipped, the enemies will slow down for 1.75 seconds.
