The previously rumored God of War Ragnarok PC version has been officially confirmed during May’s PlayStation State of Play livestream, but it will apparently require a PlayStation Network account. Released back in 2022 as a PS5 exclusive, God of War Ragnarok picks up where the 2018 God of War sequel left off, with Kratos and his young son Atreus struggling to uncover the mystery behind Ragnarok, the prophecy that foretells the end of the world. Along the way, father and son encounter new enemies and make important decisions about their lives going forward.
Given that the previous God of War game was ported to PC in 2022, there has been plenty of speculation about if and when God of War Ragnarok would join its predecessor on outlets like Steam and the Epic Games Store. In late January, God of War Ragnarok was included in a list of rumored PlayStation first-party titles said to be launching on PC alongside Ghost of Tsushima - which did indeed receive a PC port earlier this month. Ahead of May's PlayStation State of Play, insiders claimed that a God of War Ragnarok PC port could be announced at the event, and this has come to pass.
