At one point in the journey, players have to open the blockage in Svartalfheim’s Channel. The dam has various mechanisms that may be confusing, so this guide will help people smoothly solve the puzzle to open the Svartalfheim’s Channel gate in God of War Ragnarok.
How To Open The First Svartalfheim’s Channel Gate in God Of War Ragnarok
Before reaching the first gate, Kratos and Atreus’ path will be blocked by a big wheel. To get through the wheel, players must reach the shore next to it.
Defeat the enemies on the small island then proceed to freeze the running geyser. After that, reach the top where Kratos has to use his Blades of Chaos to rotate the wheel until it opens a path for them.
Now that the wheel is in its place and the way is open, return to the boat and move forward to the first gate in the Svartalfheim’s channel.
Once players reach the first gate, just like the first wheel, land on its shores and proceed to defeat the enemies on the island. For this gate, players can see that there are two geysers in the area; one on top and one under the wheel. Players must move another wheel by applying a maximum water pressure coming up from the geyser under.
To do that, throw Kratos’ Leviathan axe on the geyser on top. This will raise the water level to move the wheel and open the gate.
How To Open The Second Svartalfheim’s Channel Gate in God Of War Ragnarok
The second Svartalfheim’s Channel Gate in God Of War Ragnarok is more complicated than the previous ones. After reaching the gate, make a right turn to find the shore. This gate has two chains locking it, so players must reach both to open it.
Reach the first anvil-like steel block and bring it down by hitting the small key that holds its chains together. Climb it and proceed to the first chain and interact with it to remove the first part of the gate.
Now, the complicated part starts when Kratos reach a geyser under the steel block. Freeze the water and jump to the other side then defeat the enemies and find the hidden geyser under a metal cover. Use Kratos’ weapons to take the cover off.
Before going back to the geyser, aim to take the steel block down and then climb it. From the top of the anvil-like steel block, aim and throw Kratos’ axe on the geyser under the wheel to move it and apply pressure to raise the steel block to a higher floor where the second chain is at.
Finally, open the second Svartalfheim’s Channel Gate in God Of War Ragnarok and continue the journey to Nidavellir.
