Just like its predecessor, God of War Ragnarok has special puzzle chests that provide unique rewards to players if they can solve them. These chests are called Nornir Chests, and although it can take time to complete the puzzle and unlock the chest it is worth the effort. Nornir Chests are scattered all across the Realms, and finding them is only half the challenge.
The next step is to find the three objects near the chest. Some are easier to find than others, and in some cases players will need to find a way to reach them when they are blocked by some sort of obstacle. Here is how players can unlock the Nornir Chest in the Jungle.
Where to Find the Nornir Chest in the Jungle
The Nornir Chest can be found near a Mystic Gateway in the Jungle which is nearby one of the dragons. In order to reach this area, God of War Ragnarok players will need to have completed the Return of the River Favor. This Favor opens up a lot of areas that were previously inaccessible to players, and this includes the area where the Nornir Chest is.
Each Nornir Chest has a different style of puzzle that players have to overcome. Some involve simply destroying a pot with the corresponding runes on the chest while others involve hitting all the runes before the timer expires. The puzzle for the Nornir Chest in the Jungle requires God of War Ragnarok players to find three rotatable objects that can be hit with the Leviathan Axe. The goal for this puzzle is to have all three objects match the runes on the chest.
On each object there are two circles that can be hit on the left and on the right. The left turns the object clockwise, and the right turns it counterclockwise. For this guide, the object was rotated counterclockwise.
The First Rune
The first object can be found along the ruins of a wall to the right of the Nornir Chest. This object needs to be rotated counterclockwise twice and it will match one of the runes on the Nornir Chest.
The Second Rune
The second object can be found on a rock ledge far left of the Nornir Chest. Red vines block this object, so God of War Ragnarok players will need to use runic arrows and the Blades of Chaos to burn them away. Once the vines are cleared, players will need to rotate the object counterclockwise once.
The Third Rune
The third and final object is near the top of the tower that contains the Celestial Altar. God of War Ragnarok players should look on the right side. This object will need to be rotated counterclockwise twice with the Leviathan Axe, and the Nornir Chest will unlock.
What is the Reward for the Jungle Nornir Chest?
Once the chest is unlocked, God of War Ragnarok players will be able to open it and claim the Idunn Apple or Horn of Blood Mead that is inside. Idunn Apples increase maximum health once enough of them have been found, and Blood Mead Horns increase the Spartan Rage gauge.
