There are 11 Nornir Chests for God of War Ragnarok players to find and unlock in the realm of Vanaheim, though some are a lot more challenging to open than others. The Cliffside Ruins chest is one such example, with players having to do a bit of climbing and use some Sigil Arrows in order to get inside of it.

As with many of the other Nornir Chests in God of War Ragnarok, finding the Cliffside Ruins chest is actually fairly straightforward as it's sitting in plain sight. Upon finding it, however, the real challenge gets underway, with players having to use both their skills and their senses to get their hands on the prize inside.

How to Unlock the Cliffside Ruins Nornir Chest

Players will be able to find the Cliffside Ruins Nornir Chest near the drawbridge just above the Cliffside Ruins writing on the map and slightly to the right. As with several of the other Nornir Chests in God of War Ragnarok up to this point, opening the chest will require players to turn three spinning devices so that they display the three runes on the side and break the seal that's keeping it shut.

The first of the three spinning devices that players will need to find is on the rocks just to the right of the Cliffside Ruins Nornir Chest. Players won't be able to see it right away, but firing a Sigil Arrow or two at the vines blocking it and then detonating them with Kratos' Blades of Chaos will destroy the vines and allow players to turn the device. They;ll then need to spin it until it displays the rune that looks like an R.

The second spinning device is over to the left of the Cliffside Ruins chest, though, again, spinning it is far from straightforward. This time, players will need to climb up onto the raised platforms and then look over by the golden chain. If they look closely, they should be able to spot the spinner sticking out of the ground and can then proceed to turn it using Kratos' Leviathan Axe until it shows an F-like rune.

For the final spinner, players should hop in the boat and head north to the small area with the Mystic Gate. If they then get out of the boat and turn to face south, they'll have a clean shot at the last spinner and turn it so that it displays the rune that looks a little like a P. This will unlock the chest, allowing players to get their hands on either an Idunn Apple, a Horn of Blood Mead, or some other random goodies depending on how many other Nornir Chests they have opened so far.

God of War Ragnarok is available now for PS4 and PS5.
