Runic Attacks are special skills that come in form of gems, which can be installed into weapons in God of War Ragnarok. Each character has their own set of Light and Heavy Runic Attacks. Some can be found while exploring, while others are rewarded upon completing a Favor.
Kratos has Runic Attacks for the Leviathan Axe, Blades of Chaos, and Draupnir Spear. One of the Runic Attacks, Honor the Fallen, is a Heavy Attack that can enhance Draupnir Spear’s overall damage. According to God of War Ragnarok, Honor the Fallen is a long-range, leaping dive that slams into enemies with overwhelming force.
How To Get Honor The Fallen Heavy Runic Attack In God Of War Ragnarok
To get Honor the Falling Heavy Runic Attack in God of War Ragnarok, players must complete Rescue Freyr from the Einherjar task in chapter 13, Creatures of Prophecy. At the end of this chapter, Freyr will gift Kratos his boat, which will unlock another part of Vanaheim. This will lead players to the hidden area where Honor the Fallen can be found.
Upon arriving at The Crater, explore The Plains while following the For Vanaheim! Side Quest to rescue Birgir. Eventually, Kratos will send Birgir through a Mystic Gateway. To the right of the gate, there will be a Legendary Chest but won’t be reachable due to the huge boulder blocking the way.
To remove the boulder, three glowing spots must be pierced using the Draupnir Spear in God of War Ragnarok. One can be seen by standing on the right side of the Mystic Gateway, while the remaining two are on the other side of the boulder. Upon throwing a copy of the spear in all three spots, press the triangle button to detonate them simultaneously, revealing a way to the Legendary Chest.
Opening the chest rewards players with Honor the Fallen Heavy Runic Attack for the Draupnir Spear as well as other crucial Crafting Components and Resources in God of War Ragnarok. Like any other Runic Attack, Honor the Fallen can only be upgraded by spending Kratos XP.
Other than the Legendary Chest, there will also be a Favor in the area. By approaching the glowing item on the ground, players will trigger the Casualty of War: The Scroll Side Quest in God of War Ragnarok. A spirit will emerge and speak with the group, asking to retrieve the missing part of the scroll, which can be found in a cave within The Plains. If players already found it, then the Favor will be marked as complete the moment the scroll is picked from the ground. It rewards 500 Kratos XP, 125 Atreus XP, and Stunning Fang Amulet Enchantment. The latter will trigger upon hitting stunned enemies, which unleashes shockwaves that may grant a stack of increasing Strength and Stun damage.
