A great God of War Ragnarok clip depicts an effective way to snipe a charging dragon straight out of sky using a rock, which will be a great help to players that have been struggling with the game's Dragon fights. Players are loving God of War Ragnarok, and the massive, set-piece boss battles that have returned from the 2018 game are some of the most memorable and climactic moments in the entire game.

New players to the franchise or to action RPGs in general may struggle at first with the intense combat encounters and would do well to look up a strategy guide for God of War Ragnarok to give them a bit of an edge over the game's uncompromising and unyielding enemies. There are many optional bosses and combat encounters in the game, including the Berserkers, Gna the Valkyrie Queen, and, making their return from the 2018 game, Dragons. However, a guide is unlikely to mention one player's strategy of knocking a Dragon out of the air.

Redditor Takenforganite tested out an interesting strategy against a Dragon and posted a clip of their success with it. Using Kratos's Rage mode, Takenforganite is able to use the Ranged Heavy Attack, which sees Kratos pulling a giant boulder from the ground and hurling it at the Dragon in order to bring it down during an aerial charge. This brings the dragon crashing to the ground and opening it up for more punishing attacks from Kratos. If new God of War Ragnarok players are trying to complete favors or quests that involve Dragons, they can use this strategy to help them out.

God of War Ragnarok's boss fights can sometimes end in disaster, as players get so close to finishing off the boss only to get caught in a powerful attack and lose all of their health in seconds. God of War players are all too familiar with this happening during the Valkyrie fights, and this heartbreaking phenomenon returns in the Berserker fights in the sequel as well. Unfortunately, knocking these bosses down with rocks is not quite as effective as this dragon trick seems to be.

Though the Dragon fights are optional and, admittedly, not as difficult as the fight against Gna or those against the Berserkers, they can still cause newer players some problems. If God of War Ragnarok players want to get the Dragon Scaled Armor Set, however, they will have to defeat every Dragon, Drake, and Dreki in the game. As more and more players drop into God of War Ragnarok for the first time, different combat strategies and techniques like this will be helpful for them to get through the toughest parts of the game.

God of War Ragnarok is available now for PS4 and PS5.
