The story begins with a controversial scene where a young priestess' party is attacked and sexually assaulted by goblins. She is saved by the Goblin Slayer, a man whose only goal in life is to seek out and destroy goblins. Since the first version of the story was released, the series has had several adaptations, including a manga and the anime that the movie is based on.
