In October of last year, Saber Interactive released Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered to the PC and consoles. However, the PC version of the game was only made available to the Epic Games Store due to an exclusivity agreement that is set to expire soon. Now, players on the platform will finally be able to purchase Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered on Steam.

Starting November 17, Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered will be heading to Steam after a year-long exclusivity deal with the Epic Games Store. Originally, Ghostbusters: The Video Game was first released back in 2009 and received mostly positive reviews for its entertaining gameplay, immersive story, and incredible performances from the original movie actors. Due to its popularity among gamers, Saber Interactive decided to remaster the game and introduce it to a new generation of players.

The popularity of the Ghostbusters Remaster was also due in part to the negative reception received by the 2016 Ghostbusters game. Of course, the announcement that Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered is coming to Steam is good news, especially since it will allow even more players to have access to it and experience the good old-school fashioned Ghostbusters experience.

At the moment, it appears that there are no plans to bring a new installment to the Ghostbusters video game franchise. However, after the 2016 game, there have been two other titles released under the Ghostbusters brand. The first one is Ghostbusters: Now Hiring, which is a VR game set in locations from the movies, and the other is Ghostbusters World, a mobile game similar to the style of Pokemon GO.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered will release in 2019 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
