The PlayStation 4 console cycle is winding down, with just a few more months of the beloved system being Sony's top dog. Luckily for fans of the PS4, it's getting a wonderful sendoff, with a final year ripe with triple-a exclusive games, including Ghost of Tsushima, Sucker Punch's newest game. Ghost of Tsushima looks promising, and now, players know how much space they'll need to install it onto their PlayStation 4s.

Ghost of Tsushima's pre-order page is now live on PlayStation Network, revealing that fans will need 50 GB of space to install it. That's a pretty typical sum for a game, though with titles like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare taking up nearly 200 GB, fans had reason to be concerned of another game potentially crowding hard drive space.

It is worth keeping in mind that the 50 GB install size will grow over time. Games frequently receive updates these days, and while it may not be as large as something like Modern Warfare's monster downloads, it's still a pretty common occurrence to see updates around 15 GB.

Just days ago, a Sony State of Play revealed 18 minutes of Ghost of Tsushima gameplay, revealing a bevy of new details, from the open-world and traversal to samurai cinematic modes. The game is now just two months away, so fans don't have that much longer to wait until it's out in the wild.

In the meantime, there's still plenty to analyze from what's been shown. Ghost of Tsushima's photo mode is one of the most comprehensive ones in a game to date, which guarantees that it will have a steady churn of photography emerging from it in the coming weeks. Post-launch, games with photo modes tend to have stellar images released by fans, and with Tsushima being one of the best looking titles on the PS4 to date, it seems likely that will be the case here.

Ghost of Tsushima's delay was disappointing, as the game appeared to be making steady progress, seemingly being delayed to give Last of Us 2 room to breathe after its delay. Sony never confirmed that was the case, but it safe to assume nonetheless.

Ghost of Tsushima will release on PS4 on July 17, 2020.
