Although many fans of Marvel's The Punisher may still be reeling from the cancellation of the Netflix series of the same name, it appears that they may still be getting plenty of starring actor Jon Bernthal in Ghost Recon: Wildlands. As part of the free Operation Oracle DLC, players will dive into two brand-new Ghost Recon: Wildlands missions regarding the perception of truth, with this DLC set to go live on May 2, 2019.

Joining the player on this mission is Major Cole D. Walker, a Ghost Team Leader who not only bears the voice of Bernthal but his appearance as well. The mission revolves around extracting a Skell Tech engineer who has been arrested by Unidad but possesses a certain knowledge. With Bernthal in tow, it seems likely many will return for the DLC, and it's worth mentioning that there is a free weekend beginning May 2. For those on the fence about checking it out, here's our Ghost Recon: Wildlands review.

What's more, developer Ubisoft promises that what player discover on this mission "might very well set the scene for the future," suggesting that this DLC could be a bridge to Ghost Recon: Wildlands 2. It wouldn't be the first time content for this tactical shooter had teased a new game, as it previously teased a new Splinter Cell game. Adding to this idea is that Bernthal has risen in popularity during the past few years, so it doesn't make much sense just to use his personage to help give away a free DLC.

How to Play Ghost Recon: Wildland's Operation Oracle
