Last Friday, Ubisoft released Ghost Recon Breakpoint, which is the latest installment to the long-standing Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon franchise. The game is an online tactical shooter title that is set in a vast open-world environment called Auroa, a fictional island located in the Pacific Ocean. Apart from Ghost Recon Breakpoint's Standard Edition, dedicated fans of the series can also purchase three special editions of the game, each offering awesome bonuses and collectibles with prices ranging from $99.99 to $189.99.
Now, the standard edition of Ghost Recon Breakpoint is currently on sale across major retailers. The game is currently available for $49.94 on Amazon and Walmart and $49.99 on Best Buy, which is around $10 cheaper than its original list price of $59.99. Ghost Recon Breakpoint revolves around the story of Lieutenant Colonel Anthony "Nomad" Perryman, who is a special forces operative sent to the island of Auroa to investigate reports of disturbances involving a military contractor called Skell Technology. Although the game has just been released a few days ago, the NPD Group predicts that Ghost Recon Breakpoint will be one of 2019's best-selling titles.

Several days ago, Ghost Recon Breakpoint was met with some backlash after releasing Time-Savers in the in-game store during Breakpoint's early access period. The controversial microtransactions were immediately removed after the backlash. In a statement released by Ubisoft, the publisher clarified that it was not its intention to release certain Time-Savers during the game's early access period, which led to their immediate removal from the in-game store.
Moreover, during last June's E3 conference, Ubisoft announced in its press conference that The Terminator will make an appearance in Ghost Recon Breakpoint. In its Year 1 Roadmap, Ubisoft unveiled that Breakpoint's main story episode, Operation Greenstone, will commence immediately during release and will run until January 2020. At the end of the first episode, the game will introduce The Terminator during a live event.
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint is out now for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a Stadia version also in development.
