Ghost Recon Breakpoint features raids that push the skillsets of players into unfamiliar territory, while also forcing them to work together to overcome challenging boss encounters. The new in-game Titan Raid is still in beta, but already information is swirling about how to beat the challenging bosses that lie in waiting for Ghost Recon Breakpoint players.

It seems Ubisoft has been putting in the hours to make Ghost Recon Breakpoint the game it truly needs to be for players, and the Titan Raid is the result. The Titan Raid features four main encounters. At the beginning of the mission, players will receive a photograph that shows them where to find their mission. Upon entering the correct area, a boss fight is initiated. The first boss we'll tackle for Ghost Recon: Breakpoint's Titan Raid is Titan Alpha.

Share the Laser

Like real life tanks, Titan Alpha is a tank with an insta-kill mechanic. Ghost Recon Breakpoint players should note that the Titan Alpha tank's insta-kill mechanic begins with a scan from a blue laser. If the scan reaches 100%, Ghost Recon Breakpoint players will find themselves dead via rocket explosion.

The key to removing the laser scan is to run the laser scanner into another player. Ghost Recon Breakpoint players will need to communicate, as the key to survival is ensuring that the laser is passed between players enough to prevent the scan from reaching 100% on any single player.

This may seem confusing, but think about it. If Player A is being scanned and has a scan percentage of 20%, then Player B needs to take a turn with the laser, as Player B is still at zero percent. In turn, Player A is now free to attack Titan Alpha's weak point, while Player B holds the laser for a time before trotting off to give Player C or Player D a turn with the laser.

What's key here is making sure not to pass the laser off too soon. Otherwise things can get messy, and Ghost Recon Breakpoint players won't have enough time to expend ammunition on Titan Alpha's weak point. For players of Ghost Recon Wildlands, these types of mechanics are a welcome return to form.

Kiting the Titan

But how does one destroy a tank? Luckily, there is a weak point on Titan Alpha's backside in the form of a tiny blue panel. Titan Alpha also exhibits bull-like behavior, and will automatically follow any player that treads too closely. Thus, the player with aggro must kite Titan Alpha, while the other players shoot the tiny blue panel.

Once Titan Alpha reaches 50% health, a second purple laser scanner will be added to the fight. Using the same laser swapping tactics, players need to ensure their scanning meter never reaches 100%. During this phase, Titan Alpha will spawn Shotgun Wolves and a Sniper.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint players should not panic, and stay focused. The player that is scanned should focus on clearing the wolves, while the players continue kiting Titan Alpha and shooting the weak point.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint is out now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
