Ghost Recon Breakpoint is a tactical open-world shooter that allows players to customize their character's abilities. This enables them to create unique builds to suit their playstyle and role. However, unlocking these abilities come at the cost of perk points. One of the ways to obtain perk points to level up. Thankfully, there are many ways to level up in Breakpoint

The most common of which is to (obviously) kill lots of enemies. Besides that, there are some things that a player can do to increase their XP rate, allowing them to level up faster. Once the player reaches the game's level cap of 30, they can lay low on doing some of these tips so as not to compromise in other areas. Here are 10 tips to level up fast in Ghost Recon Breakpoint.

10 Obtain The Other Classes

Each class (Assault, Medic, Panther, Sharpshooter, Engineer, and Echelon) has ten challenges that award the player with perk points upon completion. In obtaining a class, the player can immediately earn back the four skill points they spent on acquiring all classes, one for each non-DLC class, by doing the overwhelmingly easy first few challenges for each of them.

This results in earning some perk points as profit which he can use to get more abilities. The player is also rewarded with other cool stuff in doing the challenges such as weapons, weapon blueprints, knives, paints, titles, emblems, etc.

9 Obtain The Necessary Skills

Skills such as 'Experience Upgrade' 'Recon Mastery' and 'Pistolero' increase XP points for doing specific things. 'Experience Upgrade' increases XP by 20% in general. 'Recon Mastery' awards +50XP for each enemy tagged with the drone; along with some other benefits.

'Pistolero' increases handgun damage, but also awards 40% more XP while it's unholstered, making it the perfect ability to have as an Echelon. Having the necessary skills will drastically increase the rate at which the player earns XP at a seemingly passive nature.

8 Equip +XP Gear

Some clothes and weapons found in the world have their respective unique attributes. Sometimes, they would include +XP bonuses. Rather than equipping the gear with the highest gear score, it's sometimes better to equip items that provide XP boosts than those that don't.

These gear pieces stack on top of each other together with the equipped abilities; allowing the player to level up significantly faster. If physical appearance is a concern, the player can always tick on the 'Skin Override' option and customize the overriding appearance.

7 Equip +XP Gain in the Bivouac

Bivouacs are resting places where ghosts can set up camp. Here, their ammo is refilled, they can craft, shop, summon vehicles, but most importantly, they can select a temporary buff via the preparations system. These buffs last for an hour which is a significant amount of time. To earn XP faster, the player should select the 'Resources' option which grants a 10% XP bonus.

Again, this stacks with the player's abilities and gear perks. This is provided in addition to replenishing the player for battle. Doing all these aforementioned will double the XP the player can gain. Now, moving on to non-passive actions.

6 Prioritize Bivouac Information

Bivouac Information should be prioritized when obtaining data. Since these spots are scattered all throughout the island, knowing these locations gives the player advantageous checkpoints that he can fast travel to for preparation. Having many Bivouacs on the map means that the player has a lot of areas that he can boost a player's XP from.

This allows players constant replenishment of not just the XP buff, but many other buffs as well. These camping spots also ensure that the player is always prepared with a restored condition, and a vehicular advantage. In turn, amplifying their lethality.

5 Raid Enemy Areas

Enemy areas are swarming with opposition. And, where there are enemies, there's XP to farm. Raiding these outposts are a good source of experience points. Not only are they fun and challenging but they quickly level up the player as well. The player need not be on any mission to raid fortifications, and they can just do this for their amusement and resources, similar to a random event.

Even if the player dies, they can just rinse and repeat, especially considering that enemies reset as the player is loaded back into the world. In addition to this, some enemy areas contain weapon boxes, Skell credits, and most importantly, perk points to spend on abilities.

4 Tag Enemies Before Killing

Tagging enemies awards experience points. Even more so if they are tagged with a 'Recon Mastery' drone. Dead enemies can't be tagged. So, the player should make sure that everyone in the compound is drone tagged before he goes on a killing spree.

This awards twice the amount of XP as opposed to just killing them outright. Even if the enemies are in plain sight, the player ought to drone tag them first before executing; in order to maximize that XP gain. Once this becomes a habit, the player's XP earn rate will virtually double.

3 Engage in CQC

Melee kills award the player with more XP than if they were to kill them with regular firearms. XP earned from CQC kills is about 300, which is twice as much as using a firearm, earning around 150 XP per kill. The player should go for CQC as much as uncompromisingly possible.

It is possible to eliminate an entire compound using stealth and CQC. Pair this with tagging before killing, and the player could earn triple the expected amount than from neutralizing the compound untagged and guns blazing.

2 Get Spotted

Getting spotted calls in reinforcements. This in turn leads to more enemies coming to the player's location. He could farm XP from these reinforcements, considering that they consist of a respectable amount of infantry units. Sometimes, choppers would also be called in to engage the player, adding to the possible XP obtained.

Acts of getting spotted include allowing the last existing enemy unit of a compound spot the player, or purposely getting detected by an Azrael drone. However, when the player dies, reinforcements don't respawn.

1 Play Solo

Playing solo means there is no one to share those sweet experience points with. Going alone has its benefits. The number of enemies, their damage output, their damage resistance, etc. doesn't change whether or not the player has teammates. The opposition remains the same, regardless.

With human-controlled teammates, kills are divided among the squad. This results in the player not being able to maximize the XP gains. Plus, it's more of a challenge to go about alone anyway. Even when the player dies constantly, there is no XP penalty.
