Ghost of Tsushima, the next from Infamous and Sly Cooper studio Sucker Punch Productions, was first revealed at E3 2017. The game was then shown off again at E3 2018, but we haven't seen it since then. However, an image recently posted on Reddit purported to be from a Sony shareholder presentation may give us an idea of when to expect Ghost of Tsushima to launch.

The image, posted to Reddit by user Tmfwang, shows various Sony studios (or in the case of Kojima Productions, studios associated with Sony), as well as their key PS4 franchises and units sold. The image states that Ghost of Tsushima is expected to launch in the fiscal year 2019, which basically means the Ghost of Tsushima release date can be anywhere between now and March 2020.

We stress that fans should be skeptical of the image, as there is no way to prove its legitimacy at this time. And considering how little we've seen of Ghost of Tsushima, that suggested release window seems a little optimistic.

Then again, Sony is likely looking to launch the PS5 next holiday season, and so it would make sense for the company to release its final major PS4 exclusives before then. It seems likely that either Ghost of Tsushima or The Last of Us: Part 2 will release in early 2020, with the latter perhaps coming out in the summer.

We've seen more of The Last of Us: Part 2 than we have of Ghost of Tsushima, and so it seems like we'll get that game first. It would be a bit odd for Sony to try to release both The Last of Us: Part 2 and Ghost of Tsushima in early 2020, especially with the multitude of other big releases that are releasing around the same time, so whichever one comes first, fans can expect their release dates to be spread out.

To really have a better idea of when fans can expect Ghost of Tsushima, we'll need to see the game in action again. As previously stated, we last saw a Ghost of Tsushima gameplay trailer at E3 2018, but haven't really seen much of the game since then. Perhaps we'll learn more through a PlayStation State of Play presentation, or maybe we'll have to wait for the PlayStation Experience in December.

Ghost of Tsushima is in development exclusively for PS4.
