Ghost of Tsushima: Legends has announced the release date of its much-hyped Raid. The PlayStation-exclusive title continues to sell incredibly well, making a Ghost of Tsushima sequel seem like an obvious conclusion.

Developer Sucker Punch has seen rousing success with its free-to-play Legends DLC. The Ghost of Tsushima co-op update has tallied over 2 million matches since launching last week on October 16.

The raid, called The Tale of Iyo, is confirmed to drop on Friday, October 30. The Tale of Iyo serves as the culmination of the story introduced in Ghost of Tsushima: Legends. Divided into three separate chapters, the raid takes players directly into Iyo's realm. All of these chapters will require a full, four-ghost team, and will likely push players to their limits.

Teams are going to need an excellent sense of coordination and communication if they hope to succeed in taking down Iyo, which should be the biggest challenge the game has to offer. While there may not be any official indication of more content being released, a recent Sucker Punch job listing may point to a Ghost of Tsushima sequel.

Ghost Of Tsushima Legends - Class Combinations

An important thing to note is The Tale of Iyo will not support online matchmaking, so players will need to prepare their samurai squads beforehand. Everything about this raid is sounding like an extremely difficult task to complete. Even Sucker Punch itself has explicitly told players to get their gear to KI level 100 as an absolute minimum. The company also suggests replaying the story and survival mode to get higher-level items.

The Tale of Iyo isn't the only new thing that's coming to the Ghost of Tsushima: Legends. Starting every Friday at 8am PT, there will be a featured new two-player Story mission and four-player Survival mission. These will each have specific weekly modifiers, which should keep players engaged through the holiday season.

Weekly leaderboards will showcase players with the highest score. However, these missions fall under the new Nightmare mode, which needs to first be unlocked. Players can unlock the mode simply by getting strong enough gear to hit KI level 90. After that, the mode can be accessed at any time. Basically, players should get as many Legendary items as possible if they want to do well in these new challenges.

Sucker Punch will also be rolling out a new patch today to fix several reported issues. These fixes include:

  • Resolving a bug causing frequent Network Error pop-ups
  • Resolved a bug preventing the Platinum Trophy armor dye from appearing in New Game+
  • Resolved a bug that caused some users to become stuck in the Legends tutorial
  • Added support for PlayStation™ Network “Players Met” functionality to Legends
  • Various bug and crash fixes
