During our coverage of E3 2018, Sucker Punch revealed to Game Rant that the forthcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive Ghost of Tsushima could be played entirely in Japanese with English subtitles, with the feature certainly intended to add an extra air of authenticity to the title. Now, the studio has officially put out a brand new version of the footage that debuted during Sony's E3 2018 press conference, with all of its spoken dialogue now being Japanese.

As seen in the latest Ghost of Tsushima trailer, neither Sony nor Sucker Punch have added anything different from its reveal aside from the inclusion of Japanese voice acting, but it definitely adds a level of realism that makes the footage more impactful. After all, the game follows the story of the Mongols invading the Japanese island of Tsushima in the year 1274, so it would be strange for the main characters to be speaking in English.

While the Japanese dubs will definitely be the choice way to play Ghost of Tsushima for many, the English language may be more palatable for some to follow when playing games. Having the option to choose between the two, though, is a superior choice on Sucker Punch's part so as to not alienate players. At any rate, whether or not one picks Japanese or English dialogue, the gameplay's brutal combat will remain intact.

Bearing in mind everything revealed thus far about Ghost of Tsushima, the forthcoming action-adventure title definitely got people's attention during Sony's PlayStation E3 2018 press conference, so Sucker Punch will hopefully be delivering more details about the game soon. Without a doubt, fans would love to see even more gameplay for the PS4 exclusive, but we will have to wait and see what the developer has in store for future announcements.

Ghost of Tsushima launches exclusively for the PlayStation 4 and currently doesn’t have a release date.
