Sucker Punch's Ghost of Tsushima was once again put into the limelight with the recent release of its expanded version. The Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut brought loyal fans back into the game, while also inviting new players to experience the compelling story and unique gameplay of the title. Now, one of the game's fans decided to sketch out the main character Jin Sakai in black and white, sharing their drawing talent and admiration for Ghost of Tsushima with the online community.

For those who are not familiar with the title, Ghost of Tsushima was launched a little over a year ago in July 2020. The story follows fallen samurai Jin Sakai as he fights to save his beloved Tsushima Island from the siege of the Mongolian army. With its stunning visuals, gripping plotlines, and diverse battles, Ghost of Tsushima reaped many awards in the year it was launched. Not only did it win the Player's Voice in The 2020 Game Awards, it also received recognition from other award-giving organizations such as Game Audio Network Guild, DICE Awards, and New York Game Awards. It also never seemed to have left the spotlight, as the developers previously introduced the multiplayer Ghost of Tsushima: Legends feature, and now, the PlayStation 5 upgrade with the director's cut expansion.

On Reddit, artist SamGrantArt posted their original black-and-white artwork of Ghost of Tsushima's Jin Sakai. Using mostly graphite and white pencil, the Redditor replicated the game's official cover art of Jin holding the infamous Ghost of Tsushima mask. Though the fanart only showed Jin's face, and part of his arm and upper body, fans likely cannot deny the great attention to detail the artist has poured into their piece. Upon closer inspection, the original artwork even stylized Jin's short beard through unique patterns.

The Redditor stated that they thought Ghost of Tsushima was one of the best PlayStation 4 exclusives, besides the Spider-Man title. Many fellow fans complimented the fanart, saying it looked very well done and stunning. One fan even jokingly said that the artist should draw a nude version of Jin Sakai in the hot springs, seeing that it is one of the highly humorous yet most popular image of Jin circulating online. SamGrantArt even generously shared a timelapse video of them working on the piece, saying that it took them 57 hours to complete the whole artwork.

With the director's cut version just freshly released, Ghost of Tsushima fans are likely to create more content about the game. Hopefully some of them can create pieces as amazing as the one that Redditor SamGrantArt posted.
