Ghost of Tsushima has finally received its director's cut update and that means that the Tale of Iki Island is now available to play. This DLC has Jin help the raiders regain control over Iki Island from the new Mongol commander, The Eagle. Not only does this DLC for Ghost of Tsushima contain a new story for players to enjoy, but it is also chock full of content for them to discover.
Players now have a chance to relive the past and discover more information about Jin with memory locations. These locations give players a chance to walk in the shoes of a younger Jin Sakai and experience the war between the samurai and the raiders.
What Are Memories?
The Memories of the Father are a new form of collectible that players can interact with on the island of Iki. These memories transport players into the past where they relive one of Jin's memories.
There are five of these memories in total with the last one becoming unlocked once the original four have been discovered. Players are rewarded with a new sword kit called Tempest's End and a slight increase in their reputation. Each memory is typically marked by a large battle flag and a white deer nearby.
Memory Of Sorrow
The Memory of Sorrow can be found in the Northeastern section of Iki Island in Thunderhead Cliffs. Thunderhead Cliffs are located to the East of Yahata Lighthouse and overlook the sea.
This memory has Jin relive a time after a hard-fought battle. He and his father remember Jin's mother in a fond way.
Memory Of Foreboding
South of where the first memory can be found and North of Yahata Forest, players can discover the Memory of Foreboding. It is found along the Eastern shore of Iki Island and is marked by a hard-to-miss shipwreck that forms an archway. This memory has Jin relive his father's criticism as he addresses the men before teaching Jin a lesson about mistakes.
Memory Of Kinship
West of the Cloud Forest Temple players can find the Memory of Kinship. This memory is located in the Senjo Gorge area of the map and is marked by a white tree.
It is also easy to spot the torn battle flag on one of the many cliffs surrounding the gorge. Senjo Gorge is located in the Southern section of Iki Island. This memory is sweeter than the others and actually shows a connection between Jin and his father as they attempt to bond.
Memory Of Anguish
Located near the center of Iki Island is the Memory of Anguish. It is located in Kidafure Battleground which is South of Kemono Trail. This area is also easy to spot. It was once a battlefield but has now been completely taken over by fauna. Moss grows on every building that once stood tall.
This memory is also marked by a tree with white blossoms. This memory lets players see the village just after the great battle that took place as it burns around them.
Memory Of An Unfinished Song
Near where players first step for on Iki Island, the Memory of an Unfinished Song can be found. It is in the Northern section of the island, Northwest of the Sly Hunter's Forest, and Northeast of Sentinel's Peak. It is marked by another tree with white blossoms and overlooks the shore.
Remember, players can only access this memory once all of the other memories have been discovered and played through. This memory has players relive the time after Jin's father died as they collect his belongings and finish the song that Jin wrote for him.
