Ghost of Tsushima has proven itself to be one of the standout games of 2020, with stunning visuals that immerse players into the story of a samurai in feudal Japan. Sucker Punch has recently launched an update full of new content for Ghost of Tsushima, but a job listing online could imply that the studio isn't done with its new IP.

Ghost of Tsushima is a brand new world from the devs at Sucker Punch, after a six-year wait. The company became famous for its work on the Sly Cooper and Infamous franchises but chose to move away from those IPs to create a new open-world narrative exploring the history of Japan.

A job listing on Sucker Punch's website hints that a sequel for Ghost of Tsushima may be in the works. The studio is seeking to hire a new narrative writer, with one of the requirements being a "desire to write stories set in feudal Japan," and "knowledge of feudal Japan history." This seems like a strong indicator that new content for Ghost of Tsushima could be on the way. This doesn't necessarily mean that a full-blown sequel for the game is in development but could mean that more DLC content, or a separate standalone game set in the same world, is on the way.

Ghost of Tsushima 7 Changes Fans Want

After so many years in development, it makes sense that Sucker Punch would want to bring more content to the Ghost of Tsushima world. The success of Ghost of Tsushima has led to many fans asking for more games set in historical Japan, with many wondering whether the Assassin's Creed franchise will tackle it next. Hence, continuing to expand on Ghost of Tsushima is a great way for Sucker Punch to engage an eager audience of gamers.

Sucker Punch recently made a huge update to Ghost of Tsushima, bringing in a new multiplayer mode titled Ghost of Tsushima: Legends. The new game mode was developed in tandem with the main campaign and allows players to join a squad of four samurai to take on missions together. With four new character classes to explore, it's a great way to keep bringing players back into the Ghost of Tsushima world before next-gen games start to dominate. That being said, Ghost of Tsushima will still be playable on the PS5 with backward compatibility and will even run at 60fps with the game boost feature.

Ghost of Tsushima is available now on PS4.
