The release of the new Genshin Impact region Inazuma has brought multiple characters with ties to that region, and Gorou and Arataki Itto are the most recently announced. It seems like the story will head back to the fan-favorite region Liyue, as both new characters Shenhe and Yun Jin are heavily related to this part of the map.
New Genshin Impact characters create tons of hype, and players in the latter stages of the game often look forward to their arrival. The Genshin Impact Twitter account has officially announced two brand-new characters for the upcoming update, and fans are understandably hyped.
Genshin Impact 2.4 beta phase has started, and there are already multiple leaks about future content - including a region fans are referring to as Enkanomiya. Now, a credible leak on the Genshin_Impact_Leaks subreddit has revealed a video featuring Yun Jin fighting a basic hilichurl. It should be noted that Yun Jin's constellation level is maxed-out to 6.
Over the past couple of months, miHoYo has revealed new characters before the beta even arrives, most likely because the characters would be leaked on day one of the betas anyway. A recent leak on Reddit has apparently revealed large parts of Yun Jin's kit, which can be seen below.
- Elemental Burst - Yun Jin deals AoE Geo damage and applies the "Feiyun Flag" effect to all nearby party members. This effect increases damage output by a percentage of Yun Jin's current Defense.
- Elemental SKill (tap) - Allows Yun Jin to spin her polearm with force dealing Geo damage in the process.
- Elemental Skill (hold) - Forms a shield with damage absorption that scales with Yun Jin's max. HP. The shields effect is increased to 150% to all elemental and physical damage.
Yun Jin will be a Geo character, which caught many Genshin Impact fans by surprise considering that she was heavily rumored to be an Anemo Vision user. When it comes to her rarity, there is no official information, but recent rumors hint that Yun Jin could be a four-star character. A recent update by one of the most credible Genshin Impact leakers named Ubatcha1 has confirmed that she will be a support character, similar to Zhongli.
She has the ability to buff team members' Attack with Defence, meaning that she could be a perfect fit for the popular Geo party. Yun Jin could be a cheaper four-star replacement for Zhongli, which means that she will have great synergy with upcoming characters Arataki Itto and Gorou. Adding another strong support character like Albedo could make this a viable Geo team composition.
Both Shenhe and Yun Jin are expected to be a part of the same banner, which is great news for players who are planning to pull for both of them. When it comes to the other banner, there is no official information, but multiple leaks have been hinting that it could be another banner re-run featuring Ganyu and Xiao. This means that update 2.4 could bring two new characters and a double-banner re-run.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
