Yae Miko is certainly one of the most interesting Genshin Impact characters so far. Her beautiful design combined with her personality has made her an exciting prospect for players, many of which are eager to add Miko to their team. With the release of Yae Miko's Story Quest in Genshin Impact 2.5, more people have found amusement in the sneaky fox's demeanor, where she'd happily trick and prank people around her, just to escape any sort of consequences afterward.

However, while Yae Miko may be top-tier when it comes to pranks (a tier above Xingqiu, one may argue), in terms of gameplay, she's just like any other unit in Genshin Impact; consequently, the Kitsune has both her strengths and weaknesses. This may not be an issue if players pull for Miko simply because they like her, but for those who follow the game's meta and care how she performs in content like Genshin Impact's Spiral Abyss, then they should understand these things before pulling for Yae Miko.

Is It Worth Pulling For Yae Miko In Genshin Impact?

Similar to Raiden Shogun, Yae Miko is also an Electro Sub-DPS. But the Kitsune doesn't provide as much utility as the Archon. Other than that, here are some other things Travelers should consider before getting Yae Miko.

Yae Miko Has A Straightforward Build

Best artifacts for Yae Miko In Genshin Impact

By the time of her release, Yae Miko doesn't have her own Genshin Impact artifact set. Therefore, players can easily build her with two pieces of Thundering Fury, Gladiator's Finale, or Shimenawa's Reminiscence. Other alternatives include Noblesse Oblige, Emblem of Severed Fate, Thundersoother, and Tenacity of the Millelith.

Yae Miko's Strengths And Weaknesses

Yae Miko may not be the best in providing utilities, but she shines in other aspects.

Yae Miko's Strengths:

  • Great off-field DPS
  • Constant Electro application
  • 100% Elemental Skill uptime. Players can also use this ability to dodge

Yae Miko's Weaknesses:

  • Doesn't offer much utility
  • Elemental Burst needs a lot of Energy
  • Elemental Skill takes a few seconds to deploy

Yae Miko Currently Has No Best Team

While Yae Miko can fit well with some Genshin Impact characters, she doesn't have a meta team yet. Any team that needs an Electro character already performs amazingly with Raiden Shogun, Fischl, or Beidou, so Yae Miko isn't really necessary.

Yae Miko’s DPS Jumps At C6

Yae Miko's Constellation doesn't bring much to the table. Her first Constellation helps with her Energy issue, the C2 increases Miko's overall DPS, while C4 is a minor buff for Electro DMG. However, the Kitsune does have a large power surge at full Constellation. By ignoring 60% of the enemy's DEF, Yae Miko's Elemental Skill will be boosted by around 30%. While this is a decent number, of course, players should remember that getting a 5-star Constellation in Genshin Impact may be costly.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
