Two of Genshin Impact's defining features are exploration and unique character designs, both visually and lore-wise. These features, among others, have helped make Genshin Impact one of the most popular games of 2021 so far.

Like many Genshin Impact characters, Yae Miko was heavily rumored to join the roster of playable characters. Travelers will meet her during their quests in Inazuma, and since her introduction, many have been long awaiting news of her banner release. Many fans were disappointed when the Genshin Impact 2.4 banners were announced, bringing Shenhe and Yun Jin but missing out on the Electro character, but miHoYo has finally confirmed that she's joining as a playable character.

Each Genshin Impact version has its beta phase which begins at the start of the previous update. For example, the 2.5 beta has started once update 2.4 officially joined the live servers- A recent leak on the popular Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit has revealed a discussion between a player and a beta tester.

The leak reveals that even though first impressions revealed that Yae Miko could be weaker than most players expected, the beta tester confirms that recent buffs have made her one of the best characters in the game. When it comes to choosing the right support, he claims that Yae Miko will have the best synergy with a support character that uses the Dendro element.

The addition of a new element would give even more combat diversity to the game which left a lot of fans wondering when will the Dendro element become playable. Dendro is the only element in the game that still isn't used by any character at the moment. It could still take some time for it to arrive considering that adding a new element could be tricky because of the complex elemental reaction mechanics. This element has also been tied with another supposed location called Sumeru, which is rumored to be one of the upcoming Genshin Impact regions.

The fact that Yae Miko's secondary stat is Crit rate led most players to believe that she will be one of the strongest DPS characters in Genshin Impact in the game which is unusual for a Catalyst user. Her elemental skill allows her to move rapidly, leaving behind "Lethal Sakura" which periodically deals damage to nearby enemies. Similar to the recently released Shenhe, she could find herself best fit for the sub-DPS role, rather than being the leading damage dealer.

Genshin Impact is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is currently in development with no confirmed release date.
